| | Capitano Albert is a self taught artist, originally from Germany. He is considered a major painter in St. Maarten. His silent and fibrant work coming from the depths of these secretive man's melancholy are an invitation to dream. Each painting becomes a meditation. Capitano silently contemplates life as it is. After his retirement from sailing the world's seas in 1985 he met Lucia. After he saw her work he became anxious to try painting himself. Since then he never stopped. His inventive usage of a personal computer and very basic software gives his work a distinct edge. | |
